Private Acquisition — South East England
Carta Trust is looking to acquire a well-run B2B services business and look after it properly. I am one privately funded individual buyer making a serious, long-term commitment to a business and the people in it.
What this is about
For many business owners, a sale is not simply a financial transaction. It is a question of what happens to the team you have built, the clients who depend on you, and the reputation you have spent years earning.
Carta Trust exists for exactly that moment. I work directly with founders and owners, take the time to understand how a business truly operates, and make commitments I follow through on. I want to hear the story of what you have built. Whether you are thinking about a clean exit, a transition period, staying involved for a while, or simply curious about what your options look like, I am genuinely interested in that conversation.
The thing that matters most in any ownership transition is that clients stay, that the team holds together, and that the culture which made the business worth acquiring does not quietly disappear. That has been the central challenge of my professional life for fifteen years. I know how to step into an established relationship and earn trust from scratch. That is what I will bring to every relationship I inherit.
Even if you are not sure yet whether selling is right for you, a quiet conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
For founders and owners who have spent years building something of real value, the question of what comes next is one of the most important they will ever face. It deserves a careful, personal answer from someone who will still be there in five years.
What I bring
What I am looking for
Carta Trust is not a firm, a fund, or a platform. It is one person, with a professional background, personal capital, and a clear purpose: to find an excellent business and look after it properly for the long term.
About me
I grew up watching my father run a business for over thirty years. He was good at it. He cared about his clients and his team. And when the time came, he wound it down because there was no one to pass it to. No buyer who understood what he had built. No one who would carry it forward with the same values.
That stayed with me. It is the reason Carta Trust exists.
My professional background is in senior B2B commercial roles at a global financial data and information company, where I have spent fifteen years responsible for complex, high-value client relationships. The kind where trust takes years to build and confidence can be lost quickly. I have led those relationships through difficult conversations, organisational change, and competitive pressure. I understand what it takes to earn a client's confidence, hold it through uncertain moments, and make sure it does not depend on any single individual.
That experience shapes directly how I think about an acquisition. The greatest risk in any ownership transition is that clients leave when the founder does. Knowing how to walk into an inherited relationship and earn the right to keep it is not a generic skill. It is something I have practised professionally every day.
I also hold a law degree, which means I can engage directly with contracts, deal structure, and legal process without adding friction or delay on my side of a transaction.
I am based in Orpington, Kent, and I am actively searching. I speak with business owners, brokers, and intermediaries, and I am ready to move when the right opportunity comes along.
Whether you are a business owner thinking about the future, a broker with a listing that might be a fit, or an intermediary who wants to register Carta Trust as a buyer, please get in touch. No obligation, no pressure.
Fill in whatever you are comfortable sharing. Even just a name and a number is enough to start.
Everything you share is treated in strict confidence. I will never pass your details to anyone else or contact you without your permission.
No pressure, no obligation. Just an honest conversation with someone who genuinely cares what happens next.
