Private Business Acquisition — United Kingdom
Carta Trust is a private buyer for well-run UK businesses. I work directly with owners, move quickly, and take a long-term view. If you want your business to carry on, not just change hands, and you care what happens next, so do I.
Every conversation is treated with complete confidence. I work directly with owners and welcome introductions from advisers and brokers.
Client relationships, consultative sales, and advising businesses at a senior level across the UK. I understand how good businesses work and what makes them valuable.
I am acquiring a business to run and grow, not to flip. What you have built will be in good hands, with the right management and the right backing.
How it works
A straightforward process, run properly, with no unnecessary delays.
A confidential conversation with no obligation on either side. You tell me about the business and what matters to you. I tell you plainly what I am looking for and how I work. Both of us decide quickly whether it is worth going further.
I review the financials, contracts and team structure with experienced advisers. You get straight feedback on how I see the business and what I think it is worth. No guesswork, no drawn-out process.
The deal is built around you. We collaboratively find the right structure, whether that means realising the full value of what you have built, retaining a stake in the business going forward, or something in between. There is no single template.
Experienced solicitors on both sides keep things moving. The transition is handled carefully so your team and clients are looked after from day one.
For founders and owners who have spent years building something of real value, the difference between a buyer and a steward matters. I know what it takes to build client relationships over years and to earn a reputation worth protecting. That is what Carta Trust exists to honour.
Why sell to me
Whatever yours is, I am set up to deliver it properly.
I pay fair multiples based on real earnings. Funds are in place, the process is straightforward, and I do not retrade. You get certainty, not a protracted negotiation.
I buy businesses to keep them running well. Your team stays, your clients are looked after, and the reputation you spent years building is protected.
Not everyone wants to exit on day one. If you want a gradual transition, a consultancy role, or an earn-out linked to performance, I am open to structuring it that way.
Sectors I know well
If your business serves other businesses, has a reliable client base and a team in place, I would genuinely like to hear from you.
About me
The founder of Carta Trust has spent over fifteen years in senior B2B roles across the UK, working closely with business owners, building client relationships, and learning what makes a service business genuinely durable.
Selling a business is one of the most significant decisions you will make. I take that seriously. I assess businesses carefully, I give straight feedback, and if I make an offer it reflects what the business is genuinely worth. I do not use the diligence process to chip away at the price.
I am funded through a combination of equity and bank debt, with experienced legal and financial advisers supporting every step. I can move to heads of terms quickly once I know the business is the right fit.
Every deal is structured around the seller. Some owners want a clean exit and to move on. Others want to stay involved, retain a stake, or hand over gradually. I am open to all of it. There is no single template.
You deal with me personally throughout. No hand-offs, no intermediaries once we are in conversation.
Thinking about the future of your business? I would welcome a short confidential chat. You will speak directly with me. No pressure, no obligation.
Fill in whatever you are comfortable sharing. Even a name and a number is enough to get started.
Everything you share is treated in strict confidence. I will never pass your details to anyone else.
No pressure. No obligation. A direct conversation with a funded, serious buyer.
